Center for Community Transformation Group of Ministries (CCT) and Bayan Academy, recently concluded the CCT Triple A of Assessing, Advising and Assisting Entrepreneurs: A Business Plan Development Course. There were 36 participants from different ministries of CCT, particularly from CCT Credit Cooperative, CCT Kaibigang Maaasahan Multi-Purpose Cooperative, and CCT Kaibigan Ministry. The course was divided into two learning modules, totaling 12 training days. The first module, Assessing the Entrepreneur and the Enterprise: Business Plan Preparation, was held last February 18 to 23, 2019. On the other hand, the second module, Advising for Business Plan Completion and Assisting for Business Plan Implementation, was held last March 11 to 16, 2019. All training sessions were held at CCT Tagaytay Retreat and Training Center, Kaykulot Road, Sungay East, Tagaytay City.
Day 1 of Week 1 - Mr. Philip Felipe facilitating one of the outdoor activities on Self Mastery
The objective of the course was to equip the operations heads and managers of CCT, from different ministries, with the needed entrepreneurship and management knowledge, skills, and competencies in assessing, advising, and assisting entrepreneurs within the framework of the 5Cs of credit (character, condition, collateral, capital and capacity to pay). In addition, the program aimed to develop their confidence and communication skills by instilling the discipline of constantly monitoring and evaluating their respective operations’ / enterprises’ growth and evolution, and requiring them to produce and present their outputs at the end of the course.

The facilitators who delivered the training sessions were: Mr. Philip S. Felipe, executive director and COO of Bayan Academy; Ms. Estelita “Babes” Chavez-Catacutan, executive director of Bayan Enterprise Developers Growers and Evolvers Inc. (Bayan EDGE); Mr. Carlo S. Sagun, program director of CREST, TOP, and BEST units of Bayan Academy; Ms. Maria Theresa Buted, training officer of Bayan Academy; and the following teaching fellows of Bayan Academy - Ms. Maitet Diokno, Ms. Tess Ngabit, Mr. George “GQ Quitoriano, Mr. Michael De Jesus, and Mr. Edwin Suson.
The facilitators used different teaching methods, such as written exercises, case discussions, brain teasers, group activities, outdoor activities, and film viewing. In addition, they consciously and consistently related the lessons to examples and situations familiar to the participants. In effect, this kept the participants engaged and interested all throughout the learning course.

During the last day, Mr. Philip S. Felipe, executive director and COO of Bayan Academy, and Ms. Rhodora E. Prado, CCT ministry peer servant, spearheaded the culminating activity. They commended and thanked the participants for their hard work, and also encouraged them to continue with their promising plans. Finally, Mr. Felipe and Ms. Prado handed the certificates of completion of each participant.
